Wish List | My Top 5 Jewellery Picks

My Top 5 Jewellery Picks

Like most women I love jewellery and with Christmas fast approaching there's lot of beautiful pieces available in stores. I decided to share some of my favourite's with you and have picked my Top 5 over a variety of brands.

Firstly, I love these pink crystal earrings as not only are they my favourite colour but they are very pretty. I wear studs a lot as they are more practical and these are ones I would wear on a daily basis. I like the oval shape too, I've seen similar ones like this which have been round so these are a little more unusual and a nice size.

Next I've chosen an adorable ring with Cubic Zirconia detailed across the unusual beautiful bow detailing. I've never seen a ring like this and I love that it is so dainty. This would look great as a every day ring or to bling up an outfit, it's so fun and girly.

I've also chosen a beautiful feather pendant which again has Cubic Zirconia detailing. I like necklaces which fall like this and this one is really different to any others in my collection. It would look gorgeous against a really simple outfit like a little black dress and would be perfect to wear over the festive season.

Last but not least I have two bangles, one in silver and one in a more unusual rose gold. The silver bangle is a twist on the more traditional plain ones and I like the simplicity of it. It would go with any outfit. Conversely, I also love the rose gold one as it has rounded edges and a delicate cut mesh which I imagine would sparkle gently as it catches the light. It also has some beautiful detailing on two sides to make this more than a simple bangle.

I absolutely love all of the jewellery featured on my list and I hope you do too. To take a look at a wider selection click here.

Event | Pandora Essence Zodiac Product Launch

Pandora Essence Zodiac Product Launch

Hello Everyone, how are you all? Last week I was lucky enough to be invited to an event at Pandora's flagship store in London to celebrate the launch of their brand new product range, the Essence Zodiac collection. I don't often go to events on my own anymore as after being a blogger for nearly two years there is always normally someone there I know or I go with one of my best blogging friends Rachel from Beauty Queen UK so I was a little nervous.

The event was first thing in the morning which was nice because I could go having my hair and make-up freshly done rather than looking a little tired after work and as you can imagine I was very excited on my way there. As soon as I stepped inside the store my nerves completely disappeared as the PR girls and staff are so friendly and welcoming they really made me feel at home. I was shown the different areas of the store that had been done up especially for the event and after choosing a drink I headed straight over to the new collection because I couldn't resist not looking at it first.

Pandora Essence Zodiac Product Launch Pandora Essence Zodiac Product Launch
*A grey fabric bracelet from the range and the Scorpion charm which is my star sign

There are two parts to the Essence Zodiac collection, the first being orientated around star signs and the second around elements such as health, hope and love. Pictured above are products from both and equally are as beautiful.

There are a selection of new bracelets from the range which include the fabric bracelets in either one strand like the one above or two and a selection of silver bracelets, all of which show of the new charms perfectly. Moving onto the charms themselves, each and every one of them is beautiful and very wearable.  The charms for the star signs are all made of silver and have a very delicate outline of the sign engraved into them with cubic zirconia carefully placed inside.

The second part of the collection are the 'Essence' silver charms which include elements such as Joy, Stability, Passion and Respect. These charms vary more than the star signs and all look very beautiful. Some are colourful whereas others are purely silver but I can see all of them being very popular. As I was looking at the display I was definitely designing a bracelet in my head using these charms!

After I drooled over the new Essence Zodiac collection for quite some time and spoke with the PR girls I had a look at the Zodiac inspired activities that had been specially selected for the event. The first was a fortune teller who after asking some brief details about you such as where you were born, your birthday and time of birth pulled up a graph on his computer and began telling you interesting facts about yourself as well as some things about what the future holds. I've always been a bit wary of these types of things in the past because of the fear of being told something awful but without really thinking twice I headed over and took part in this interesting new experience. The fortune teller said a little about the person I am such as I'm close to my family, my family do everything they possibly can for me and that I'm not very independent before moving on to telling me more about my future. I was told that 2017 will be my year and there will be an awful lot in store. I will get married and have a very loving husband and have a fun, easy going, stable life and also my career will head to the next level and I will be a boss and very successful. It was freaky how right he was about some things about me so I will be interested to see what happens in 2017 and if any of the fortune tellers predictions come true.. lets see!

After speaking a little more to people sadly it was time for me to go as I had to head to work so I didn't have time to look at the remaining activities which involved some strategically placed screens in the store. They sounded really fun so I was disappointed but I had an incredible time at the event and it was the perfect start to my morning. Not only did I get to meet some lovely people and view the beautiful collection but I also learnt more about Zodiacs such as that I actually have three star signs, Scorpio (General), Taurus (Mind), Gemini (Soul).. I think that's right!

I would definitely recommend taking a look at the new Pandora range as it is beautiful and would make the perfect gift for loved ones as you can make a bracelet or select a charm which is very personal to them. You can take a look at the Essence Zodiac collection on the Pandora website here or the Pandora e-store here. Pandora also have other beautiful silver charms that are available so they definitely cater for everyone.

March Monthly Round Up

March Round Up
At the end of each month I have decided to do a monthly round up of my favourite blog posts during that time. Each Month I will pick eight posts which is not a lot considering a post every day (most of the time) and take a look back at them.  I've been thinking about doing this for a while but wasn't sure if it was something my readers would like so if you could please leave a comment and let me know if you are interested in seeing this monthly post that would be great.

Last month saw a variety of different posts ranging from baking, to beauty and tips so looks take a brief look at them (links to each post are in the heading).

#1 Salted Caramel Cupcakes Recipe

I love baking and last month had the chance to bake some Easter inspired cupcakes. I find baking really relaxing but hadn't had the time to do it in a while so it was really enjoyable. I chose to make vanilla cupcakes and decorate them with a salted caramel butter icing.. delicious.

#2 Lush Love Locket Review

Being a huge fan of Lush products it's pretty much guaranteed they will appear on my blog at least once a month and my favourite in March was the Love Locket from the limited edition Valentines collection which is in fact three bath bombs in one. Not only is it pink and heart shaped but smells delicious too. A fab product that I wish was part of the permanent range!

#3 Chanel 'That' Palette / Link

Next up was a review of the Chanel 'That' palette which I was lucky enough to get from my Boyfriend for Christmas. This is a gorgeous neutral palette featuring five stunning, creamy shades that are very wearable for both a day and evening look.

#4 The 7 Deadly Sins of Beauty Tag / Link

I did one tag during March which was really fun to do and featured the 7 deadly sins of beauty. It really got me thinking about different products and would recommend you doing this tag too!

#5 My Pandora Bracelet / Link

A couple of jewellery posts appeared on my blog last month, my favourite being about my Pandora bracelet. It was great to be able to share my bracelet with you because the perfect thing about Pandora is that every piece is unique as you build up the charms etc yourself.

#6 Benefit Hello Flawless Foundation Review / Link

Last month saw a review of the Benefit Hello Flawless Foundation which has definitely become a firm favourite. This foundation is beautiful because it gives it gives you a nice amount of coverage whilst still maintaining a natural look and giving your skin a lovely glow.

#7 HTML Tips for Beginners / Link

From time to time I like to include tips on my blog and in March I shared some basic HTML advice for beginners. This included detail on how to add links, photo's and text.

#8 Nuxe Reve de Miel Lip Balm Review / Link

Last but not least was a review of the popular Nuxe Reve de Miel Lip Balm. There is a lot of hype surrounding this product so it had a lot to live up to but I loved it!

These are my top picks from last month's posts but there were many more. If you want to have a read of the above posts click on the headings and if you want to take a look at what other posts featured on blog in March have a look at the archive section in the side bar on the right. You'll find lots of posts there!

My Pandora Charm Bracelet

Pandora Bracelet Pandora Bracelet

Pandora is a brand that everyone has heard of and it's no surprise as their jewellery is beautiful!  The company was founded in 1982 and they now have 1100 stores in more than 80 countries which is great news for us Pandora fans.

I've been a fan of Pandora for years and I could quite easily spend a fortune on their jewellery because it is all stunning, whether it is a necklace, ring or bracelet.  I also love that they bring out different ranges throughout the year which have a slightly different theme.

When I created my first Pandora bracelet I decided to go with a pink theme as that is my favourite colour and because at the time their leather bracelets were on offer I decided to go for one of those rather than the more classic silver bangles (although I would absolutely love to own one of those too and plan on buying one with different colour charms at some point in the future). The leather bracelet I chose is a single wrap in a charcoal grey as I found it made the charms stand out well but wasn't as harsh as black.  It also gives the bracelet more of a smart/casual feel.

The hard part when creating my Pandora bracelet was definitely picking the charms. I found it really difficult to narrow them down to a small selection because there were so many I loved but in the end I settled for three different ones as I wanted my bracelet to look completely symmetrical.

My bracelet is made up of the following:

Single woven Leather Bracelet - £40 - Link
2 Pave Ball Charms - £55 each - Link
2 Pink Cherry Blossom Clips - £45 each - Link
1 Pink Faceted Murano Charm - £35.00 - Link

I love the mix of charms I chose because I have a hint of pink and sparkle without it looking too over the top. I also like that with just five charms you can see the pretty woven leather of the bracelet so I don't plan on adding any more charms to it.

I absolutely love my Pandora bracelet and I wear it all the time. I can't wait to create another one with a silver bangle and lilac or blue charms. If you want to see what else Pandora have to offer you can see their stock list on their website here.

What do you think of my bracelet?

Valentines Gift Ideas

Valentines Gift Ideas

.*The London Perfume Company // Dolce & Gabanna Rose The One Perfume // £30.60
Thorntons // Customisable Alphabet Truffles // £14.99
Scented Candle Shop // Fresh Cut Roses Yankee Candle // £7.99
Build a Bear // Teddy Bear // £9.00
Pandora // Plain Heart Necklace Pendant // £129.00
Asos // Paul Smith Key Fob // £37.50

Hi Lovelies, Valentines Day is fast approaching so I've been on the look out for some lovely treats you might be interested in spoiling your loved ones with.  Valentines is always a special time of year for me and my boyfriend and is something we have always enjoyed celebrating together.  This year is going to be a little different because it's the first time we're not going out but instead my boyfriend is going to cook a meal for us which will be really nice.

First on my gift list is a perfume from The London Perfume Company called Dolce & Gabanna Rose The One.  I love how this company is advertising their Valentines products as they have created a 'Lovers Corner' which features 45 love themed perfumes.  If you order from here you also get a free gift of a teddy or solid heart perfume, love heart sweets and a cute Valentines tag. It is also perfect for those who are a little last minute with ordering their gifts as there is delivery in just 24 hours!

Next are these adorable customisable chocolates from Thorntons. The fact that you can choose the wording yourself makes this gift extra special and I was surprised by the small price tag! For just £14.99 you get 22 truffles or for £19.99 you can get 33.  Not only a special treat but a delicious one too!

Flowers are beautiful but on Valentines they can be very expensive, particularly roses so an alternative would be this Yankee Candle that smells of them! The jar candles last absolutely ages too so i find they are a good investment plus it's pink.. what more would you want?

Next on the list is a gorgeous heart pendant from Pandora. I'm a big fan of this brand and I could easily spend thousands in there.  The Valentines range is particularly beautiful and a must for anyone who loves hearts and pink.  This delicate pendant is the perfect gift if you're looking to spend a little more this Valentines day.

I'm a big softie and even though i'm in my 20's I still love teddies.  The build a bear ones may be directed towards children but they make an adorable gift for anyone.

Lastly, I picked this cute heart key ring by Paul Smith.  It's perfect for people who like hearts but maybe aren't such a big fan of lots of pink and red which we often see everywhere at this time of year. This product makes a refreshing change by being a mixture of purple, white and black.. I love it!

My Favourite High Street Shops

Favourite shops

Last week I featured a blog post about my favourite online beauty websites so it feels right to also include a post about my favourite places to shop on the High Street.  I tend to buy a lot more by shopping in store rather online so this post will feature a selection of my favourite beauty, fashion and home picks!

New Look // Link

I remember shopping at New Look a lot in my early teens but for some reason stopped for a good number of years after that.  I started shopping there in the past few years and I'm absolutely loving it.  I think New Look are really on top of their game and I find I buy products there for day, night and work.  Their prices are also very reasonable which makes them appeal even more.

Jane Norman // Link

This has been a shop I have loved since I was a teen because I find their clothes a little different to what other stores on the high street have to offer.  Over the years if I'm honest, I've noticed the price has crept up but the quality crept down so I'm finding I'm shopping less in there but I love their style and if I'm ever struggling for an outfit whether it be for day or night I know I will get it here!

Debenhams // Link

Debenhams is a great department store that sells a multitude of products ranging from beauty to fashion and home. I particularly love looking around the beauty section and always get my eyebrows threaded here. The homeware is also a favourite!

Selfridges // Link

The Selfridges beauty haul is amazing whether you or looking to buy something in particular or just browsing.  It would be amazing to be able to wonder around there without all the crowds and really take in the beauty of the store.  The other departments are also just as great so it is very easy to spend many hours in here!

Harrods // Link

Harrods holds special memories for me because I have been going there with my parents my entire life.  I love how exclusive and special it feels and it's been interesting to see how it has changed over the years.  It offers a huge amount of products and even though I've been going there forever the store is so huge I still get lost almost every time (my sense of direction is really bad).

Boots // Link

Being a beauty blogger this one is a pretty obvious pick! I like the layout of the product displays in Boots and the staff are always helpful.  I love that there is always one near by and that they have such a large product range that is often on special offers too.

Superdrug // Link

Superdrug is another obvious pick but I only tend to go in there to buy products that aren't available in Boots because I prefer it.  I love that they stock Essie, Sleek and MUA in particular. There is often a bargain to be had in Superdrug which makes it very tempting to buy products from here!

Primark // Link

I'm always amazed at how low the prices are at Primark and am suprised I didn't start shopping in their sooner.  This is definitely the place to go if you want to pick up a bargain and the latest trends!

Pandora // Link

Pandora sells beautiful jewellery and I often find myself in there admiring it.  As it is on the pricey side I don't regularly buy items from there but I am always adding more to my wish list and enjoying the new collections that come out.  The Valentines one this year looks beautiful! Pandora display their products perfectly and the shops is light and airy.  I love it.

Dorothy Perkins // Link

Although Dorothy Perkins is a little more expensive than some other clothing stores on the high street I often buy things for work in there.  The quality is great as well as the fit and I love that I can easily achieve a smart casual look with very little effort.

Laura Ashley // Link

Laura Ashley is a great store for homeware and I love taking a peak at all the lovely things they have in there.  It's one of those stores where I could easily spend a lot of money because they are all so pretty so it's lucky they often have big sales!

House of Fraser  // Link

There seems to be a theme here with the department stores but I really love them because they offer so much. House of Fraser is probably the one I shop in least often but there isn't a particular reason for that.  They do however, have amazing shoe sales where I have picked up some great bargains!

Marks and Spencer // Link

If you had said to me 10 years ago M&S would be appearing in this post I would never have believed it.  I remember going here with mum and dad as a child and finding it terribly boring but now I'm older I really appreciate the quality of their products and absolutely love their home department.

This post has become much bigger than I expected because as I wrote it I kept thinking of more and more stores to mention! This is by no means all of them but it gives you an insight into my little world of shopping.

Pandora Autumn Winter 2013 Collection Launch Event

Hello Lovelies!

This summer Pandora celebrated five years of unforgettable moments in the UK with the launch of its new Flagship store in London. Pandora is a brand I have loved for years and I have often admired their jewellery with friends who are also big fans.  It feels like Pandora has been around a lot longer than it has because it is so well established and loved by all.

You can therefore imagine my excitement last week when I was invited to see the 2013 Pandora Autumn Winter Collection at their newly opened store, the largest Pandora store in the world no less.  I was speechless when I received the invitation and jumped at the chance to attend this exclusive event.

The 2013 Autumn Winter collection has an enchanted forest theme and that was clearly noticeable as soon as you entered the room.  Besides the jewellery itself which I will talk about a little later, the food and decorations matched the theme perfectly.  Greenery filled the room and the whole ambiance felt magical.  I was greeted by some lovely girls who worked at Pandora and it was great to find out more about the collection and discuss the preparations that had been put into this exciting launch.

Pandora's Enchanted Forest collection includes a stunning array of delicate, feminine jewellery ranging from mystical and woodland creatures, pretty feathers, flowers and leaves which you can imagine placed on a magical forest floor and beautiful precious jewels.  There are lace-like openwork pattern charms, those to conjure nostalgic memories and many other treasures.  The colours and creatively of this collection is beautiful.  I honestly think there is something that would appeal to everyone as the range is so wide. Whether you want to add to an existing bracelet or create a new one using the new fabric string bracelets that complement the autumn themed charms perfectly. I'm sure you will find this collection as beautiful and enchanting as I did. Of course there are also necklaces and earrings too. One piece in particular I have my eye on is the gorgeous amethyst necklace in the centre of my last set of photo's above... I love it!

As well as looking at this stunning collection we were lucky enough to have some pampering at the nail bar, listen to music from a live DJ and of course speak with fellow bloggers and our hosts. I had an amazing time at the Pandora Enchanted Forest launch and I feel very lucky to have attended.  The people were all very friendly and welcoming, it was great to have an up-close look at the collection and the goodie bag was incredible.  Thank you so much Pandora!

The Enhanted Forest collection is now available in stores so you can go and enjoy the delights too! More information about the collection can also be found at the PANDORA eSTORE and Pandora main site.

What do you think of the Pandora Enchanted Forest collection?
