Lifestyle | Cuppanut Review

Cuppanut Tea Review

It's no secret I'm a big fan of coconut whether it's using coconut oil as a hair mask, drinking coconut water or purchasing products such as moistuisers and shampoo's with a coconut fragrance so when I heard a new brand of infusions called Cuppanut were due to be launched on the market last month I was very excited to try it.

This innovative product has been launched by International Superstar Gareth Gates, who first shot to fame in 2002 during the reality television series Pop Idol and has been following a very successful career ever since. As well as continuing to tour around the country performing at his own gigs he has taken lead roles in musical theatre including Joseph, Les Miserables, Legally Blonde and more recently Footloose (to name a few). Now the star has turned his hand to business and due to a combination of his healthy lifestyle and experimenting in his kitchen has come up with his new venture, Cuppanut.

Cuppanut Tea Review

Cuppanut infusions are bio degradable tea bags filled with real coconut which is mixed with a variety of different flavours. The first is 'Coconut' which is pure white in colour and smells delicious. The taste is slightly sweet, clean and full of flavour without being overpowering.  To make, you simply add water, no milk or sugar is needed.  Whenever I drink this one it reminds me of hot sunny days and holidays due to the tropical fragrance. Coconut is well known for it's health properties including, reducing cholesterol and protecting against heart disease and stroke so it is definitely something which is becoming more popular and people are starting to introduce it into their diets more and more.

The second flavour is 'Coconut and Cranberry' which is equally as tasty and looks beautiful too. When water is added to the tea bag it turns a pretty shade of pink (my fave yay!) and you can instantly smell this sweet, fruity mix.. it is divine. This is one of those drinks which is tempting to drink far too quickly because it smells so good and you risk burning your mouth but believe me it is worth the wait.

The final infusion is 'Coconut, Ginger and Turmeric' which has a more earthy flavour and turns the water golden. Not being a fan of ginger I was a little skeptical about this one when I first tried it but I have been won over by this unusual combination of ingredients.  This warm spiced tea has a hearty flavour which I really enjoy drinking in the evening. Ginger and Turmeric is also said to possibly have anti inflammatory properties.

The packaging of the Cuppanut infusions is simple and 'natural' looking due to the use of simple brown cardboard for the boxes. I think this no fuss packaging suits the brand perfectly as these infusions are full of natural, pure, raw goodness and no artificial colourings or caffeine. They are cute, the font is modern and they would definitely jump out at me on a shelf. When I opened them up I was also surprised to see how pretty the teabags themselves look. Each flavour has its own distinct colour and I've never seen any other 'tea' products like it.. they almost look too nice to use!

The thing I love most about these teas is not only are they good for you but they taste amazing whether you have them hot or cold (they would be great in the Summer in pretty glasses, with ice and fruit e.g cranberries). The three flavours are also so different that no matter what your mood is there is a Cuppanut for you!

Cuppanut will be appearing on your highstreet in a popular retailer soon but if you can't wait that long take a look at the Cuppanut website where you can order each box of teas online (delivery is fast). Each box contains 15 teabags and are priced at £4.20 per box. You won't be disappointed!

I very much looking forward to seeing what the future has in store for Cuppanut. It has now become my 'go to' drink.

What do you think of infused teas and which Cuppanut flavour would you most want to try?

Review | Ozeri 4x3 Razor Digital 3D Pedometer

Ozeri Pedometer

January is the time of year when most people decide it's time to get fit and healthy. You can't blame them after all the indulgence at Christmas and what better New Years Resolution to have than to get into shape? This is definitely something I'm keen to do, not because I ate a lot over Christmas in fact due to being poorly I barely ate anything but as I'm getting married in September I'm keen to tone up, and lost a little weight but most importantly get healthy.

This is easier said than done though as I have a high pressure job which involves working long hours which vary day to day. I can't really plan ahead when I can fit in exercise, it really comes down to what is happening on the day which obviously makes things a bit harder. I find things so much easier to stick to when you can get into a routine. This is why I'm trying to introduce things into my routine that I can realistically stick to. One of these is walking more.

Instead of buying a gym membership (which is so tempting because I love going to the gym) I'm going to try walking more and jogging. This way if I can't do it as many times a week as I'd like I haven't lost any money but at the same time I'm also doing something to help me get fit and healthy. This is where today's product becomes important because if I'm honest I find that kind of exercise boring. I'd much rather be down the gym for an hour or so, so I need something to keep me motivated to push myself and I think the *Ozeri pedometer really helps with this.

The Ozeri Pedometer is very light-weight and compact so I don't even realise I'm wearing it. Plus as well as simply recording the number of steps I take per day, it keeps these for 7 days so I can compare how I have done and it also informs me of the distance and calories burnt too. This really motivates me because each day/week I want to do more than the last.

If you want to buy this pedometer it is available at Amazon for £38.80

What are you doing to get fit and healthy?

Review | Ozeri Rev Digital Bathroom Scales

Ozeri Rev Digital Bathroom Scale
Ozeri Rev Digital Bathroom Scale

This is the first of two health and fitness inspired blog posts today as being January it's very much at the front of everyone's mind. I'm keen to get fit and healthy this year as I'm getting married in September so want to be looking and feeling my best. I'm going to start eating more healthily, cut down on portions and also introduce more exercise into my weekly routine. This means I hope to lose a little weight, tone up and just generally have more energy and feel healthy.

The start to this is having the right weighing scales in the bathroom and the ones I have been using are the *Ozeri Rev Digital Bathroom Scales. I like these firstly because they have a sleek modern look and can easily be stored away as they are slim and light-weight. They also feature both a traditional electro-mechanical dial as well as a large LCD screen which not only looks pretty cool but will appeal to a wider audience. Both of these light up when in use too so it makes it very easy to read.

Sadly, you can only weigh yourself in pounds (lbs) or killograms (kg) rather than stone and pounds which may be a downside to some people. In the past I have been used to the latter but you soon adapt and now I'm getting used to knowing what my weight is without having to do a conversion online. This scales also have the added feature of sporting an alarm which will remind you to weigh yourself at the same time every day. These means you can do a more accurate comparison of weight gain, however I've never felt the need to use this function as I don't like to weigh myself as often as that (you can turn it on and off as you please).

You can buy these bathroom weighing scales from Amazon for £19.99. These scales need three AAA batteries which come included.
