Nivea Soft Hand Cream Review

Nivea Soft Hand Cream

I seem to go through an awful lot of hand creams not because I suffer from particularly dry hands but the soap at work makes my hands feel tight so I always have to use hand cream after.  As Winter is approaching the weather is getting colder so I know I will be using it even more and will no doubt soon be carrying it as an essential in my hand bag.

When a visited my nan a few weeks ago she kindly gave me this hand cream and I haven't stopped using it since.  I'm a fan of Nivea products because they are always of a high quality and smell gorgeous and this one is no exception.  The scent of this cream is very floral and lingers on your skin for a while after use.  As for the formulation, it is pretty thin but I actually prefer that to very thick creams and as I don't suffer from dry skin I can get away with it.  The solution absorbs extremely quickly and doesn't leave my skin feeling sticky or greasy so it is the perfect hand cream to use on the go. My skin is also left soft, smooth and hydrated.

Overall, I really like the Nivea Soft hand cream and would definitely repurchase. You can find it at Superdrug for £2.49.

The Body Shop Hand Creams

You know the feeling that if something sounds too good to be true then it probably is? Well I thought that as soon as I got an email from Voucher Codes about a free hand cream from The Body Shop.  I looked into it a little more to find the catch but there didn't seem to be one so I printed off a voucher and made my way to The Body Shop later that same day.  To my amazement when I approached the counter, handed over my voucher and asked for confirmation that there was no requirement to buy anything to receive the hand cream the lovely staff confirmed that it was true.  After picking the Almond scented one I left the shop a very happy lady indeed.

There are four hand creams to choose from which have different properties:

Almond

The scent of the almond cream is gorgeous.  It is sweet but not overpowering and also contains vitamin E which helps to nourish the hands and strengthen nails.  This is what sold this one for me. The formula is quite thin and wet but it absorbs very quickly leaving no residue on your hands.

Hemp

This cream is much thicker than the others and has a subtle, pleasant scent.  It is most suitable for people who have very dry skin.

Absinthe

This cream has a fresh clean scent.  It is suitable for normal skin types and aims to make your hands feel fresh and clean.

Rose

The rose scent is beautifully fresh and summery and is suitable for normal skin.

Get the voucher for your free hand cream by clicking here.  The voucher ends on 30th September and the gift is only while stocks last.

Nivea Age Defying Q10 Plus Hand Cream

Nivea Age Defying Q10 Plus Hand Cream
I hope you are all well and having a good week!  Today’s post will be a short and sweet review on the Nivea Age Defying Q10 Plus Hand Cream.  This is yet another hand cream I picked up on impulse but this time it wasn’t at the till.  When I was buying my miniatures for my Portugal trip last month they were on a three for £3.00 offer at Superdrug so I was determined to group what I bought to make the most of the deal.  I struggled to find a third product until I spotted this hand cream and as I wasn’t a fan of my current one I thought, why not?

The packaging of the Nivea Q10 hand cream is small but powerful.  The bold use of the yellow and blue combination makes it stand out and the font is strong.  I also like that the 30ml squeezy bottle is the perfect size for my hand bag so it is easy to take with me or store without taking up too much space.

Nivea Q10 is your typical lotion formula which absorbs quickly into the skin leaving it feeling nourished and smelling gorgeously perfumed.  You only need to use a little, so this product goes a long way and it doesn’t leave a residue on your skin, oil or grease. As for the age defying aspects, I can’t really comment but maybe in thirty years time or so I will be grateful for using it due to the anti wrinkle claim… we’ll see! In any case, it won’t do any harm to be using this kind of product now and if it does help fight the first signs of aging even better!

I love this hand cream and I will definitely be repurchasing it.  It is also a absolutely bargain at only £1.01 at Boots

What do you think of this hand cream? Which one is your favourite?

Neutrogena Concentrated Hand Cream

I hope everyone is well and enjoying the lovely weather! Today's review is on the Neutrogena concentrated hand cream which if I'm honest hadn't ever come across before.  It isn't a product I went out to buy either, it was more of an impulse buy at the till because I needed a new hand cream for my desk at work but kept forgetting to get some.

The packaging of this hand cream is pretty basic but I like the compact size as it is handy for travelling and can be neatly tucked away.  However, I am disappointed with the product itself. Hand creams that I have used in the past have always been more of a cream/lotion so I was surprised to see the formulation of this Neutrogena one is a transparent gel.  The consistency is very thick and it turns white before absorbing into the skin, which actually takes a while.  It works okay on the back of my hands but I do find a slightly greasy/sticky residue is left on the inside of my hands which takes a while to go and isn't ideal when I want to get on and work.  Instead, I feel like I don't really want to touch anything. You are only meant to use a tiny amount of this product to try and prevent this but I find it hard to find the right amount, which can be frustrating.  I either seem to use too much and end up having greasy hands or not enough so I don't get good coverage. The smell is also pretty bland to me.  It's not horrible but it definitely doesn't smell as nice as some of the other hand creams on the market such as Dove, Nivea and Jergens.

I will finish this tube of hand cream as it is only small but I wouldn't buy it again.  Instead, I'd rather stick to my usual cream/lotion formulations.

The larger size of the Neutrogena hand cream is available for £3.85.  It is 50ml rather than the 15ml miniature I have.

What do you think of this product?
