Hello Everyone!
If you follow my blog and twitter regularly you will know I am a big lover of candies. Today's review will be looking at two candles from the company Kiss Air Candles (what a lovely name!).
Kiss Air Candles are a company based in Cambridgeshire in the UK who make handmade candles using natural soybean (vegetable) wax and additional fragrance oils. Anything handmade really appeals to me as it feels special and luxurious and these candles are no exception!
There are a few different scents available, namely:
Sun-kissed Raspberry
Lavender
Clean Cotton
Chocolate Cake
Soft Leather
Vanilla Pod
Cut Grass
Jasmine Freesia
Citrus CrushThe ones I have tried are the Sun-Kissed Raspberry - I just couldn't resist the name! And also Chocolate Cake.
Sun-Kissed Raspberry came in a gorgeous, small, gold tin with a pink paper wrapping detailing a signature bow and heart design. This is a really nice sized candle, not too small and not too bulky.
As you can imagine, the fragrance of the candle is sweet and fruity and admittedly I have picked it up numerous times on passing just to have a smell of it when it's not burning. This scent reminds me of summer.. it's just gorgeous! My boyfriend has even commented on how nice it is which is quite something.
The natural Soybean wax means the candles burn cleaner, for longer and have a stronger scent when compared to paraffin candles. This is very appealing because you want to make the most of your candle so the longer it lasts the better. I also find the smell lingers in the room for quite a while after the candle stops burning too so you can still enjoy the lovely aroma. This size candle burns for up to 30 hours and are priced at £8.50.
Conversely, Chocolate Cake was a standard size tea light and although small, had a scent so deliciously sweet and strong I smelt it as soon as I opened the parcel. This fragrance is described as either 'you love it or hate it' and the verdict is.... I love it. I'm surprised, as food smelling candles have never really appealed to me but this candle has the distinctive smell of chocolate cake which smells good enough to eat and not sickly. I'm not sure if I would want a large sized candle in this scent as I do prefer more floral, fruity smells but I would definitely purchase it in tea light size. I love that the scent is unique and it has definitely been a talking point when I have shown it to friends and family.
Each tea light burns for up to 6 hours and are available in packs of six for £5.00. You can even mix and match your scents which is great! The above one is a sample so the actual tea lights are bigger, coloured and have clear tea light cups. At the moment you get a free sample tea light with every purchase so you can get a taster of a different scent.. how immense is that?!
I have found that both these candles have an intense fragrance which is long lasting well after it has finished burning but at the same time isn't overpowering. I would love to try more of these candles and will definitely be getting another Sun-Kissed Raspberry scent. This is the point where I was about to name the top scents I would like to purchase but it's just too hard to decide! .... roll on pay day!
If you would like to find out more about these gorgeous candles, take a look at the >Kiss Air Candles Website or follow them on twitter (>@KissAirCandles). There is a special offer on at the moment and there are also accessories, wax melts and gift sets available.
What fragrance would you pick?

" I actually like that this candle is a neutral colour as it is different from others such as the Yankee Candles which I love but have sometimes been put off when they don't fit my colour scheme." Does that mean you would remove the 'colourful' label from the tin?
