For Christmas I wanted to use a festive colour on my nails and the obvious choice was red. I'm a big fan of Barry M polishes so one that I just had to buy is no 150 Red Glitter. This gorgeous varnish has a clear base with lots and lots of red glitter. They definitely didn't hold back with this one which is one of things I love about it. I hate it when you buy a glitter polish which on application has hardly any glitter at all and you end up having to do layer after layer in order to get a good coverage.
I've already mentioned this formulation has loads of glitter which means you really only need to use one coat. This is obviously really good because it means your varnish will last even longer! The staying power is also pretty good. These two varnishes teamed with a base and top coat stayed on my nails chip free for 4 days and even then the chips I had were very minor.
As this is a glitter polish I found it is pretty easy to fill in the gaps without it being noticable too.. always a good thing! Just make sure you apply the base colour first otherwise you don't get a good result.
Apologies for these photo's, the lighting wasn't that great on the day I took them so they'll do look a little duller than I would have liked.
The Barry M Red Glitter Polish is available for £2.99 at Boots.
Are you going to give this varnish a try?
